Therapy That Fits You

You Deserve Support That Fits You

Adult therapy in Ohio for Anxiety, Trauma, ADHD, Autism & Life Transitions

You've spent years trying to fit into a world that wasn't built for you. Maybe you've always felt different, like everyone else got an instruction manual you missed. Maybe you've been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or made to feel like you're somehow doing it all wrong.

Here's what I want you to know: you don't need to figure out which box you fit into before we start. Most people show up with a tangle of things they're trying to understand—whether you're processing a recent ADHD or autism diagnosis, working through anxiety and trauma, or just that bone-deep exhaustion of trying to fit into a neurotypical world for years.

You don't have to change who you are or tackle everything separately. This is a place to unmask, bring your whole real self, and explore whatever is weighing on you."

Neurodivergent Affirming Therapy

Maybe you've always felt like you're playing a game where everyone else knows the rules but you. You've been told you're too intense, too scattered, too sensitive—or not focused enough, not social enough, not "normal" enough. Sometimes it feels like you're constantly translating between how your brain works and what the world expects.

Neurodivergent-affirming therapy starts from a simple premise: you don't need to become someone else to deserve support and understanding.

What this actually looks like:

Rather than focusing on what's "wrong" with you, we explore what actually works for your brain and what doesn't. No judgment about stimming, info-dumping about your interests, or needing to move around during sessions.

We'll dig into the exhaustion that comes from masking, the relief of being understood, and practical strategies that fit how you actually think and process the world.

If you're dealing with ADHD, autism, executive dysfunction, sensory overwhelm, or burnout from trying to fit neurotypical expectations, you don't have to figure it out alone or force yourself into someone else's mold.

  • "ADHD is more than just forgetfulness and distraction—it's feeling overwhelmed by everything you need to do, but unable to start. It's working twice as hard just to keep up, feeling like a failure when traditional strategies don't work, and carrying years of frustration and self-blame.

In therapy, we'll work on untangling those years of shame so you can see yourself through a more compassionate lens. You'll learn practical tools that support your emotional, mental, and physical well-being—tools that work with your brain, not against it. Together, we'll find ways to manage rejection sensitivity, executive dysfunction, and emotional overwhelm that actually feel sustainable for how you function."

  • If you're autistic, you've probably spent a lifetime adapting to a world that doesn't accommodate you. Whether you were diagnosed as a child or later in life, or you're self-identified, you deserve a space where you don't have to mask or explain yourself. Therapy gives you space to process sensory overload, social exhaustion, masking burnout, and all the ways the world makes existing harder than it needs to be.

Together, we'll work on unpacking internalized ableism and making space for self-acceptance. You'll process social exhaustion, sensory overwhelm, and the emotional cost of masking while building boundaries, communication strategies, and self-advocacy skills so you can move through the world in a way that works for you. This is about helping you thrive as your authentic self.

  • Trauma can change the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world. Maybe you feel stuck in survival mode, always waiting for something to go wrong. Or you struggle with trust, emotional regulation, or feeling safe in your own body. And if you're neurodivergent? That trauma is often wrapped up in years of invalidation, misdiagnosis, gaslighting, and feeling like you never quite belong.

We'll work at your pace, using body-based approaches, self-compassion, and practical strategies to help you feel safe, grounded, and in control again. Together, we'll explore how trauma has impacted your nervous system, emotions, and patterns while using mindfulness and body-based approaches to help you feel more grounded. You'll learn how to move from survival mode to a place of safety, connection, and healing, so your past becomes part of your story—not something that defines you.

  • Anxiety can feel like a constant hum of worry in the back of your mind, or like a full-blown panic that makes it impossible to think clearly. It's overanalyzing every conversation, second-guessing your decisions, and feeling like you're always bracing for something to go wrong. Over time, this wears you down, leaving you feeling exhausted and overwhelmed.

In therapy, we'll work on understanding where your anxiety comes from and how to soothe it instead of fighting against it. You'll learn to identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more balanced perspectives while developing calming strategies that actually work for your nervous system. Anxiety doesn't have to control your life—you can learn to manage it in a way that gives you more peace, clarity, and confidence.

  • Change—whether expected or not—can be overwhelming. Even when it's something good, it can still feel unsettling, disorienting, or just…a lot. Maybe you're navigating a new diagnosis, a career change, the end of a relationship, or a major identity shift.

Therapy helps you make sense of your emotions and process the transition at your own pace. You'll find stability in the uncertainty and develop tools for coping with the unknown while reconnecting with yourself so you can move forward with clarity and confidence. You don't have to have it all figured out, but here you'll have a space to process, adjust, and grow—without losing yourself in the process.
